        • 3 During the fourth year, the student must either do a research project (BCH4040), or take nine additional units among the 3000 or 4000 level courses in biochemistry (BCH), biology (BIO), biopharmaceutical sciences (BPS), cellular and molecular medicine (CMM), chemistry (CHM), pharmacology (PHA), physiology (PHS), microbiology or immunology (MIC). The research project is highly recommended for students who intend to pursue a career in research, but a CGPA of 6.5 is required to be eligible for the project. 
        • 4 This course runs from September to April.

        • 6 Consult the list of technical electives in the regular Chemical Engineering program.
        • 7 Enrol in CHM1301 if 4U Chemistry was not completed. Enrol in PHY1331 if 4U Physics has not been completed and enrol in PHY1322 if 4U Physics was not completed. 
        • * Enrol in this course if 4U Biology was not completed. This course is beyond the requirements of the programs in science.
        • * Choose a course from HIS2129 or PHI2394 and complete it in the fall or winter term depending on when the chosen course is offered.

        The course sequence you need to follow is that of the term and the year you first joined your program. For example, if you were admitted into your program in the fall of 2021, you must follow the course sequence 2021-2022.

        • The programs are offered in English and in French for the first two years. Some 3rd and 4th year courses are not offered in French.
        • Courses with fewer than 10 registrants may be cancelled.
