Biography
After completing his Ph.D. at the Université de Montréal, under the supervision of Guy Lapalme and Robert Cedergren, Dr. Turcotte completed postdoctoral studies at the University of Florida, USA, where he worked with Steven Benner on evolutionary-based approaches to protein secondary structure prediction. Following this, he moved to the United Kingdom to work in the Biomolecular Modelling Laboratory of the Imperial Cancer Research Fund.
In 2000, Dr. Turcotte returned to Canada, where he joined the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at the University of Ottawa. He is currently an Associate Professor.
