Biography
Professor Robert Delatolla is a Full Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Ottawa. Professor Delatolla received his Ph.D. from the Department of Chemical Engineering at McGill University.
His research in Environmental Engineering is focused on biological wastewater treatment and wastewater surveillance of disease. He has particular interest in the modification and optimization of wastewater treatment technologies to protect natural waters.
Professor Delatolla's research group leverages modern analytical methods to advance our understanding of wastewater technologies at the meso, micro and molecular-scale. Professor Delatolla's research group is also currently interested in enhancing our understanding of wastewater surveillance of COVID-19 and other diseases. His group is interested in developing and advancing current analytical methods for the detection and quantification of community disease in wastewaters.
