This online program is perfect for kids that love programming, robotics and coding! Each week, participants will have the chance to learn more about a specific technology/coding language. The instructors will end each 90 minute session with a fun and engaging challenge for kids to do on their own time!
Completion of Grade 3 to Grade 6 by summer 2021.
- Camp groups are bilingual (English and French)
- Online only - computer and internet access are required. (No tablet)
- 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Both AM and PM sessions have the same curriculum. You can only register for one time-slot per week.

Description of programmation camps
Audio Visual Design
This camp explores all aspects of creating and designing graphics and animations. Participants will learn to use coding languages (such as Python and Scratch), as well as design programs (such as CoSpaces and Soundation). Using their new knowledge and creative minds, participants will create and present an animation design!
2D and 3D Design and Modeling
In this camp, the participants will have the chance of learning about the world of 2D and 3D design. Using online websites such as TinkerCad and CoSpaces, the participants will discover how to create 3D and 2D models. Finally, they will use their knowledge and skills to explore architecture along the way.
Video Game Design
The Video Game Design camp is perfect for creative kids at any coding level. The participants will learn different coding languages such as Scratch, Python, Micro:Bit, Ruby, etc. and apply their new skills to create their own game!
During this one week introduction to web design, the participants will learn the basics of programming to create their own website. The participants will learn how HTML, CSS and Java interact with each other and use them to create their perfect website.

Are the same projects repeated each year?
For our summer camps, similar types of projects are repeated from year to year such as 3D printing. The specific projects themselves differ each year.
How do I make a change to my registration?
Please e-mail us at adventures@uOttawa.ca or call us at 613-562-5491 to request any changes to your registration. If you wish to modify the camp language, type of camp, or camp location we would be happy to accommodate your request, given that there are spots available.
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate schedule changes (regarding the date of the camp) with less than two weeks’ notice before the start of the camp you're requesting to change.
I am currently on a waiting list. What is the next step?
Our team will contact you if a spot arises, and advise you on how to proceed with payment. You can contact our team to determine where you are on the waiting list by calling the Engineering Outreach Office.
Can my four-year old attend a camp?
Children who have completed a full year of junior kindergarten are eligible to participate in one of our camps. Please note that a proof of completion may be requested.
What is your behavioural policy?
If behavioural problems should arise with your child: an administrator will contact you regarding the incident, and if necessary, they will issue a warning.
If the problem persists or is unacceptable: the participant may be removed from our summer program. We absolutely do not tolerate any violence, bullying or disrespect in our programs.
Refund and Coupon Code Policies
Cancellation and Refund Policy
- You may cancel your registration up to two weeks before the start date of your registered camp and receive a refund.
- However, a $30 administrative fee will be charged for every refund.
- We cannot offer a refund if a cancellation is made with less than two weeks’ notice.
Coupon Code Details and Exclusions
- Valid for specific dates only.
- Valid online only.
- Coupon Codes may not work on all programs and may not be applied to programs that are on sale.
- To redeem a coupon, enter the coupon code during the checkout process.
- Only one coupon can be used per purchase.
- Coupons cannot be applied after the purchase is complete. If you forgot to use your coupon code and it is now expired, watch for new coupons and offers in the future. If the coupon code is not expired, please use the coupon code on your next order.
- The value of the coupon discount will not be refunded on cancellations. (**please note that we have a 30$ non-refundable administration fee for any cancellation done 2 weeks prior to the program and no refunds will be given with less than two weeks’ notice).
If my child and their friend are both registered for the same camp, will they be grouped together?
There are multiple groups within each program, so please indicate in the comments section of your registration if you would like your child to be placed with a friend or family member.
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee any groupings (especially if the children's languages, grades or camps are different). We will do our best to accommodate your request. No group changes will be made after 12 p.m. on the first day of camp.

STEM Demos Description
Junior Explorers - Get to know the earth and it's environment
Let your little one explore the wonderful diversity of life on earth! During fun demonstrations, the participants will learn more about the human body, zoology, biology, and ecology! No materials are necessary to take this class. The participants will have the option to complete the experiments later on their own with adult supervision. Every junior explorer class has the same curriculum, therefore, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays will all be the same curriculum, just taught in a different language.
Junior Chemists - Fun Experiments!
Junior Chemist! This is for you! Join us for these fun chemistry experiments to learn more about how to turn general household materials into something amazing! The participants will learn the scientific methods including hypothesis, observations, and conclusions for each reaction. No materials necessary to take this class. The participants will have the option to complete the experiments later on their own with adult supervision. Every junior chemist class has the same curriculum, therefore, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays will all be the same curriculum, just taught in a different language.
