Looking for some science and tech activities to do at home with your kids? Register for our online workshop and have fun with your kids! Learn more about new technologies, science and coding!

Details

Grades

  • For children in grade 1 to grade 7.
  • Parents have to stay for the program and are invited to participate with their child!

Language

English only, unless stated otherwise.

Forces, Structures and Earthquakes

Online Robotics!

  • May 21, 4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. – (for grade 1 to 3)
    • Learn about cool robots and program a virtual Beebot.

Moonhack Coding Night

  • May 27, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. – (for grade 3 to 7)
    • Code your own planet-saving solution, using Scratch.

Green Conscience

  • May 28, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. – (for grade 1 to 7)
    • Learn about renewable energies, your carbon footprint and oil spills in oceans!
  • This workshop will be presented in French on Thursday May 28, at 1:00 p.m. in parternship with Idello. Register now for the French Conscience verte workshop.

Coding with micro:bits

  • June 3, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. – Part 1 (for grade 3 to 7)
  • June 10, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. – Part 2 (for grade 3 to 7)
    • Learn some cool coding games to do with a virtual micro:bit.

  • Free

Register for family events!

  • Please register each child, but you don't need to do a separate registration for the parent.

Refund and cancellations policy

If you are registered and can no longer attend, you can transfer your registration to another family event of the same school year, up to 1 week before the event. Please email us at makermobile@uottawa.ca to change your registration. Less than 7 days before the event, you won't be able to change the date of the event.

There will be no refunds issued.
