  In September, two former students of the Faculty of Engineering Secondary School, Esmée and Alicia, won the Micro:bit’s 2021 Do Your :Bit global challenge by creating a device to help manage anxiety.

  Madelin Rioux and Affaan Ali are this year's Schulich Leaders. Madelin is in uOttawa's data science co-op program — a double honours degree in computer science and math. She’s especially excited about going back to in-person learning, exploring the city and meeting new people.

  The uORocketry team demonstrated excellent design and communication  skills, earning them the overall excellence award in the Canadian reduced gravity experiment design challenge (CAN-RXG)!

• Zafin partners with uOttawa to offer a unique student competition

  Zafin and the Faculty of Engineering at uOttawa have partnered to offer a unique competition for uOttawa students. The objective of this competition will be to unlock the economic value in Loyalty Programs within financial institutions and their ecosystem partners.

  Students registered in GNG 1103 during Fall 2021 and working with Zafin will automatically be entered into the challenge. Engineering students outside of the course can also participate in the challenge by following the steps below.

  Teams will be competing for the top concept, and top teams/concepts may be asked by Zafin to continue developing their concepts into working prototypes while earning up to $35,000* for the team.
