Zafin partners with uOttawa to offer a unique student competition

Posted on Friday, June 4, 2021

Zafin and the Faculty of Engineering at uOttawa have partnered to offer a unique competition for uOttawa students. The objective of this competition will be to unlock the economic value in Loyalty Programs within financial institutions and their ecosystem partners.

Students registered in GNG 1103 during Fall 2021 and working with Zafin will automatically be entered into the challenge. Engineering students outside of the course can also participate in the challenge by following the steps below.

Teams will be competing for the top concept, and top teams/concepts may be asked by Zafin to continue developing their concepts into working prototypes while earning significant awards from Zafin! Thank you to our partner, Zafin, for supporting this student competition to the tune $35,000.

How to participate?

  1. Choose your team. Teams must consist of a minimum of (4) four students.
  2. Submit the required deliverables to enter the Phase 1 of the competition before before 11:59 p.m. on September 18, 2021.
  3. Participate in a series of meetings throughout the semester with the Zafin team to help develop your concept.
  4. Present your completed pitch and concept demonstration during Design Day in December.
