Professor Shervin Shirmohammadi and his team will be working with Ciena, a networking systems, services, and software company, to build the next generation AI-based video streaming analytics and recommendation system.
This MITACS Accelerate Cluster project, titled "NOVA: Networked Optimized Video Analytics," will leverage a combination of AI, network analytics, multi-domain service orche
stration, and quality of experience measurement to identify where Over The Top (OTT) video traffic is flowing, the state of its quality of experience (QoE) and the sources of bad QoE within the network. This project aims to increase the efficiency of video streaming services and create a more consistent high QoE.
