Congratulations to the scholarship and award recipients!
On Wednesday, December 5, 2018, over 100 attendees convened at the new STEM Complex to celebrate the academic excellence of our graduate students.
We kicked off the brunch with a word of welcome from dean Jacques Beauvais followed by a few words from Dr. Ioan Nistor, Assistant Vice-Provost, Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. This was followed by a keynote address by Dr. Junaid Israr, Senior Engineering Manager – Software at Cisco Systems. He shared his experience as an international student studying in Canada. Dr. Israr completed his PhD in Computer Engineering at the University of Ottawa in 2012.
Throughout the morning, we were pleased to welcome to the stage the scholarship and award recipients as well as winners of the 11th Graduate Research Poster Competition. Joining us in celebrating their achievements were Faculty professors and staff members.
