Grade completed : 2 to 6

Let us bring engineering, science, and technology next to you! Off-campus satellite camps give children in suburban areas the opportunity to take part in fun, hands-on engineering and science projects without having to be on campus at the University of Ottawa.  This year, will be running EngSci camps and EngTech camps in three communities: Barrhaven, Kanata, and Orléans.

Please note that the activities will be different from the ones on campus and that the same projects will be repeated at all satellite locations.

EngSci (Off-campus)

This program will give participants the opportunity to discover and learn through chemistry experiments, dissections, physics challenges & much more!  Campers will get the opportunity to build and create a wide array of projects such as circuits, mechanical machines, structures, etc.

During the week, participants will get breaks to play outside. Lunch is not included, except on Friday when a pizza lunch & juice box is offered (this is included in the price of the camp).  Please provide environmentally-friendly, nut-free snacks and lunch for your child for the rest of the week.

The numbers 1 through 3 simply represent the number of different weeks of camp. For example, there are four different weeks of EngSci.  The format and schedule are the same each week, but the projects are different. It is therefore possible for a camper to take part in EngSci 1, 2, and 3 without repeating the same projects. The weeks are independent from one another and are non-cumulative. It is therefore possible for your child to attend week 4 before week 2 without a problem.

EngTech (Off-campus)

Campers will get to work on a variety of computer-based projects like animation, programming, game creation, 3D modeling & web design. Participants will also get the opportunity to do hands-on projects relating to engineering and technology such as laser cutting and circuit design.
