Canada Research Chair in Wireless Sensor Networks, Hussein Mouftah is acclaimed for his contributions to the field of telecommunications engineering

Hussein Mouftah

Distinguished University Professor Hussein Mouftah is this year’s IEEE Canada R.A. Fessenden Award recipient, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field of telecommunications engineering.

As the Canada Research Chair in Wireless Sensor Networks, Professor Mouftah, is developing methods to test, monitor and evaluate the performance of various traffic, resource and connection management techniques for the Next Generation Internet.

His research will lead to the design of highly reliable, cost-effective and flexible broadband information networks that can effectively manage the public’s growing demand for electronic services.
